New Faces At the Helm of ICPAS

10 June 09, Singapore -- Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) has three new faces at its helm - Mr Teo Ser Luck as Advisor, Dr Ernest Kan as President and Mr Gerard Ee as Vice-President.

Mr Teo Ser Luck is the Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, and Ministry of Transport. He is also the Mayor for North East District, Chairman of National Youth Council and Chairman of Young PAP. Mr Teo is also the Advisor for Singapore Asian Youth Games 2009 and Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010 Organising Committee.

Dr Ernest Kan is Chief-of-Operations (Clients & Markets) and Head of Global IFRS & Offerings Services Group at Deloitte Singapore. He is a Council Member of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA), Board Member of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), Member of the Public Accountants Oversight Committee (PAOC) and Member of the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) Resource Panel (Finance and Trade & Industry). Dr Kan is also the Chairman of the Punggol North Citizens Consultative Committee.

Mr Gerard Ee is the Chairman of the National Kidney Foundation, Chairman of the Public Transport Council and Chairman of Council for Third Age. He also sits on the governing council of the Singapore Institute of Management.

Given their respected profiles and extensive experience in accounting and business, their appointments would help make ICPAS a vibrant, integral and strategic part of the accounting industry.
